Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our roofing, painting, and gutter services in Riverside and surrounding areas.

A. Maintenance & Inspection

We recommend a professional roof inspection at least once every 1-2 years, and always after a major storm. This helps catch small issues before they become costly problems.
From the ground, you can look for cracked, curled, or missing shingles; excessive granule loss in your gutters; and any signs of water stains on your eaves. However, for a safe and thorough assessment, we always recommend a professional inspection.

B. Repair & Replacement

Signs for repair include a few missing or cracked shingles or a small, isolated leak. You may need a full replacement if your roof is over 20 years old, has widespread damage, persistent leaks, or sagging.
Most residential roof replacements can be completed in 2-5 days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof. We work efficiently to minimize disruption to your daily life.

C. Materials & Costs

We offer a wide range of materials to suit your needs and budget, including durable asphalt shingles, classic concrete and clay tiles, and modern flat roofing systems like TPO for commercial buildings.
The cost of a roof replacement varies based on the size of your roof, the materials chosen, and the complexity of the job. We provide a detailed, transparent quote with no hidden fees after a thorough inspection.

D. Warranty & Insurance

Our new roofs come with two types of warranties: a manufacturer's warranty on the materials (often 25+ years) and our own workmanship warranty, which covers the quality of our installation. We provide all warranty details in writing with your estimate.
In many cases, yes. Insurance typically covers damage from unforeseen events like wind, hail, or fallen trees. It does not usually cover damage from lack of maintenance or old age.

F. Credentials & Licensing

Yes, Imperial Roofing & Gutters Inc. is fully licensed (CSLB #1065800), bonded, and insured for your complete protection and peace of mind.
Absolutely. We handle all necessary permits with the local city or county building department to ensure your project is fully compliant with all codes and regulations.
